The Village of Akron has developed its own municipal Composting Site on Clarence Center Road in the Village. It is available for use by all residents, businesses and industry.
Users may bring their yard waste and brush (no trash) to the Composting Site which is open weather permitting, on Saturdays, from 9:00 AM until Noon. It is staffed on Saturdays from April through November.
Wood chips and compost is available at the Composting Site for Village residents to take for their own use at no cost. One pick-up truck load per resident per day maximum.
