Wastewater (Sewer)
The Village of Akron has its own Wastewater (sewage) treatment and distribution system. The Akron Sewer System is sized to meet the needs of Village residents, businesses and industry and to accommodate growth within.
Current wastewater rates are as follows:
- Residential and Industrial Sewage Rates
$16.25 minimum which includes (5) five thousand gallons of sewage or less. Each additional (1) one thousand gallons is billed at $3.25 per thousand gallons, effective July 1, 2006.
Wastewater is billed on a quarterly basis. To receive an application, or seek answers to any wastewater billing questions, contact the Clerk-Treasurer. For information about availability of wastewater service, or if you have wastewater service problems, contact the Superintendent of Public Works.
