Buffalo Bills Draft Lease Agreements
The Buffalo Bills DRAFT agreements with the County of Erie and New York State are provided for your information. The three agreements - the Stadium Lease, the Master Lease and the Construction Agreement - require approval by the Erie County Legislature, the Empire State Development Corporation Board, the Public Authority Control Board, the National Football League and must be approved and signed by the respective parties.
In layperson's terms, the Master Lease is between the County of Erie and a corporation formed to represent New York State called the Erie County Stadium Corporation (ECSC) and defines the background, assumptions and legal agreement between the participating government representatives.
The Stadium Lease specifies the fifteen year stadium deal with the Buffalo Bills and is between the state-sponsored ECSC and the Buffalo Bills.
The Construction Agreement is among all three parties-the Buffalo Bills, the County of Erie and the ECSC-and defines the construction work to upgrade the stadium.
Because these documents are in DRAFT format, you will see blank spaces for dates and other references that will be completed before signing. As with any contract before it is signed, these documents are subject to change.
