The Clarence Highway Department maintains 110 miles of Town Roads. During the winter, the Highway Department is under contract with Erie County for 45 miles of county roads in Clarence for snow and ice removal.
The Highway Department performs a weekly brush pick-up, which starts in April and continues through November. Brush is collected in a different section of the Town each week. A detailed brush collection schedule is as follows:

Brush should be placed parallel to the roadside in pieces not to exceed 8 feet. The Clarence Highway department does not pick up grass clippings, or any waste products such as railroad ties, fences, leave in garbage bags or building debris. This brush collection schedule will be on going throughout out the year.
