Mobile Auto Bureau Celebrates One-Year Anniversary In Clarence

Local residents were treated to cake and coffee as Erie County Clerk David J. Swarts celebrated the one-year anniversary of the Mobile Auto Bureau service at the Clarence Public Library. Swarts was joined by Supervisor Kathy Hallock, as well as library staff who Swarts recognized for their assistance in finding a home for the Mobile service in the Clarence Library every Friday.

According to Swarts, the Mobile Auto Bureau Unit launched last October has been a great success. Since its inception, the Mobile Unit has been available in the first floor meeting room between 10:00am and 3:00pm on Fridays and has served over 2600 residents.

"Countless residents have told me how incredibly convenient it is for them to bring their Motor Vehicle business to the library, rather than driving greater distances to other Auto Bureaus. By that standard, we have accomplished our objective of reducing the time and cost involved in taking care of basic transactions for the residents, while keeping revenues in Erie County, said Swarts.
