The Erie County Department of Real Property Tax Services has referred 2006 unpaid tax certificate to the Erie County Department of Law. The Erie County Tax Act provides for the commencement of TAX FORECLOSURE ACTION unless the taxes, assessments and all other legally levied charges are paid.
Failure to pay will result in such property being sold at a TAX FORECLOSURE auction. You can avoid TAX FORECLOSURE by paying the total amount due prior to the filling of the judgment of foreclosure.
You are urged to continue to make payments on the 2006 tax, payment plans will be available once a second notice is received indication that the judgment of FORECLOSURE has been filed.
If you are a Senior Citizen, Disabled or working with a Social Services caseworker, please contact them and ask for information on a payment plan.
IF THE 2006 DELIQUENT TAX IS NOT PAID BY OCTOBER 31, 2009, THIS PROPERTY MAY BE INCLUDED IN THE COUNTY"S NEXT IN-REM TAX FORECLOSURE SALE.
