Hunting and Fishing Licenses
Fishing and hunting licenses can be obtained at the Erie County Clerk's Office. An application can also be downloaded: www.dec.state.ny.us/website/dfwmr/huntfish.html Further information can be obtained by calling the State Department of Environmental Conservation (518-457-3521).
Proof of identification, New York State residency and age are required when applying for a license. A hunting and bow licensing will also require proof of prior training. Fees for various licenses vary. Among the more commonly used licenses, these are the fees which apply for New York State residents:

Lost licenses can be replaced at any agent. The fee for each replacement stamp
is $5.00.
Lost carcass tags for big game ($10.00) can be replaced at any agent.
Lost Hunter's Training Certificates can be replaced as follows: if the training
course was completed in the last 10 years and no previous license was issued,
the DEC may be called at 1-518-457-9823; if a prior license was obtained, the
old license can be used as proof of course completion.
