Erie County Clerk Kathy Hochul Opens New Eastern Hills Mall Auto Bureau

10am Ribbon Cutting Marks New Era of Service in North Towns

Erie County Clerk Kathy Hochul joined by officials from Government, the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles and Eastern Hills Mall cut the ribbon today to open the new Eastern Hills Auto Bureau. The new Auto Bureau has many customer friendly amenities, and offer convenience to Erie County residents in the North towns and Mall shoppers. "We have a ticketing system, comfortable seating, television and magazines that will make for a more pleasant Auto Bureau experience for our customers. This expanded space allows us to process Enhanced Driver's Licenses at another location, which is very important because of the spike in demand, as well as the rapidly approaching June 1st deadline," said Hochul.

Clarence Town Supervisor Scott Bylewski was among the many dignitaries who helped open the new location. "We applaud the Grand Opening by County Clerk Kathy Hochul and the partnership with the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Mall and the Town of Clarence. This site provides tremendous convenience for all residents of the area," said Bylewski.

The opening of the Eastern Hills Mall location means the closing of the Auto Bureau at E.C.C. North and the Mobile Fridays at the Clarence Library. The new site doubles the space and number of cashiers available to serve customers. Hochul said she is looking at new ways to utilize the Mobile Auto Bureau on Fridays. "This is another opportunity to continue our community outreach program. We can take the Mobile to service customers throughout Erie County, and we will" said Hochul.
