Press ReleaseDATE: April 16, 2009 TO: All Customers of the Erie County Clerk's Office FROM: Kathleen Hochul, Erie County Clerk RE: Increase in Fee for RP-5217 The New York State Legislature has mandated an increase in the fee for submission of Real Property Transfer Reporting Forms (RP-5217) as required under Real Property Law §333.1-e. Effective June 1, 2009, in the case of a transfer involving qualifying residential or farm property as defined by Real Property §333 1-3. iv (3) and (4), the fee has been increased from $75 to $125 and for the transfer of all other properties, including commercial, the fee has been increased from $165 to $250. |
