Memorial Day
DWI Enforcement Campaign
'JOIN THE FIGHT' CALL 911

There is a new initiative to enlist your support to help us stop Drunk Driving on our highways. I will be joining Erie County Executive Chris Collins, John Sullivan from Stop DWI Program and a host of State, County and Local police agencies to step up our campaign to crack down of drunk driving.

We are asking you to "Join the Fight' to keep drunk drivers off our roads. If you see someone driving recklessly on our highways we are asking you to call 911. Extra Police Patrols will be everywhere this weekend... Help them. The Police appreciate your help in keeping our highways safe.

Parents, you too can help stop your teenage driver from being involved in a DWI crash. Talk to your kids about the dangers of driving while intoxicated and riding with a drunk driver. Explain the serious risks to their safety and what the loss of their licenses would mean to their plans.

Drunk Driving is a preventable crime – make the right choice. Never allow your friends or family to drive while intoxicated. Memorial Day is also a time for picnics and family gatherings. Enjoy this wonderful holiday but do not drink and drive. We do not want to lose another life on our highways.

Let us not forget what Memorial Day Weekend represents to us that we pause to remember our fallen soldiers and those we lost. Even in our own little way we should pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for us. Lets not add another name to those we remember. Drive careful.
