First- of- a- Kind Auto Bureau "Tweets" Offer Valuable Information, Save Time For Customers

Erie County Clerk Hochul sets New "Tweet" Schedule with Constant Updates on Auto Bureaus

Erie County Clerk Kathy Hochul today announced more updates to their unique Twitter site "ECAutoBureau," which is designed to use up-to-the-minute technology to communicate with on-line customers. The "twitter box" is available at the Clerk's homepage, www.erie.gov/clerk.

This first- of- a- kind service has generated a buzz among users. "We are revolutionizing our customer contact with direct messages with valuable information. Time is money, and our goal is to minimize each customer's wait time as much as possible through this portal. We also have a unique opportunity to let customers know they can save money for taxpayers by visiting a local Auto Bureau rather than sending renewals directly to Albany," said Hochul. The County Clerk noted that other Clerks across the State have expressed an interest in adopting the "tweeting" idea.

In addition to morning and afternoon customer wait times from all Auto Bureaus, other features of the site will be "Road Reports" from the Auto Bureau's courier, changes in the laws, driving tips, as well as morning and afternoon traffic reports near busy locations.
