County Legislature Unanimously Supports Hochul Plan To Move Auto Bureau into Rath Building

Today, the Erie County Legislature unanimously passed a resolution in support of County Clerk Kathy Hochul's plan to save taxpayer's $1 million over five years by relocating the Downtown Auto Bureau into the Rath Building.

Hochul plans to seek an Efficiency Grant from the Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority to pay for build-out. She is proposing a state-of-the-art facility with a comfortable seating area where customers could take a ticket to be called up, instead of waiting in line.

"I truly appreciate the bi-partisan support of the Legislature for this initiative. Our goal is to make the experience for our customers much more pleasant," said Hochul.
