"Just Mail It/ Just Drop It" Auto Registration Envelopes Available at All Polling Places

Erie County Clerk Kathy Hochul announced today that the continuing effort to keep taxpayer's money within Erie County is extending to the voting booth. "Voters in Erie County will find our green Just Mail It/Just Drop It envelopes at all polling places on Election Day November 4th" said Hochul. "I want to thank Election Commissioners Dennis Ward and Ralph Mohr for their cooperation in getting these revenue retaining envelopes into the hands of the voters of Erie County."

The "Just Mail It/ Just Drop It" campaign is designed to keep $1.2 Million in Auto Registration transaction fees in Erie County. Hochul stated "By using these green envelopes and either mailing their registration renewals to the Erie County Clerk's office or dropping the renewal off at any of the 12 convenient Auto Bureaus, Erie County Taxpayers keep the transaction fees in the county, rather than sending the money to Albany. Another benefit of the program to the customer, is that the Erie County Clerk's office staff, will process and return the renewal in 3-4 days, compared to 30 days if they renew with the State by mail or on-line".

Another way to take advantage of this program is by logging onto the Erie County Clerk's website at www.erie.gov/clerk and click on the "Just Mail It" icon and a postage paid green envelope will be sent to your home.
