Professional Experience:

  • Admitted to practice law in state and federal courts in 1972.
  • Elected to the office of District Attorney on January 1, 1997.
  • Prior to his election, Mr. Clark served the Erie County District Attorney's Office as its First Deputy District Attorney.
  • Acted as Chief of the Organized Crimina Drug Enforcement Task Force of the United States Attorney's Office in the Western District of New York for 5 years.
  • Served as Chief of the Violent Felony Bureau in the Erie County District Attorney's office for 7 years.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor degree from State University of New York at Buffalo
  • Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Languages from Niagara University.

Military Service:

  • Served in the United States Marine Corps from 1968 to 1971. He is a decorated veteran of the Vietnam conflict. Honorably discharged with rank of Captain.

Professional Associations & Citations:

  • Member of the New York State and Erie County Bar Associations and New York State District Attorneys Association Executive Committee.
  • Lectured extensively in the areas of criminal law and trial practice and procedure for the United States Department of Justice Advocacy Institute, Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy, New York State and Erie County Bar Associations and virtually every local college and university.
  • Cited for outstanding achievement in the field of narcotics enforcement by the United States Department of Justice, United States Department of the Treasury, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Customs Service, United States Secret Service, Ontario Provincial Police and New York State Police.
  • Awarded an A-V rating, by the national attorney rating service of Martindale-Hubbell.

Personal:

  • Frank resides in Buffalo with his wife Catherine, a Buffalo school teacher.
