The Division of Environmental Compliance Services (ECS) is a non-regulatory public assistance agency that provides technical and non-technical support to the Western New York community.
A variety of assistance programs help Erie County businesses, municipalities, citizens and institutions understand and comply with environmental standards and regulations. These programs address: small business and local government pollution prevention; solid waste management; hazardous waste management; indoor air quality and, energy efficiency. Community outreach and education is a vital component of many of the programs administered through the Division.
