Are You Prepared and Ready At Home?
- Does your family have a home evacuation plan?
- Does your plan identify two escape routes?
- Have you taught your children how and when to call 911?
- Do you have a plan to call/notify a friend or relative (out of the area) if an emergency arises?
- Have you posted emergency phone numbers near your telephones
- Do you keep important records in a water and fire-proof container?
- Do you have a disaster supplies kit?
- Do you have enough supplies in your household for at least three days in case of a disaster?
- Do you have a disaster supplies kit for your pets?
- Have you taken any basic first aid or CPR training?
- Do you volunteer for the American Red Cross (or another agency) that can help in time of disaster or emergency?
- Have you received specific information and/or training from your employer regarding the disaster or emergency plan at your place of work?
- Has your child’s school or daycare provided you with specific information regarding its disaster or emergency plan?
