A Town Clerk Satellite office will be available every third Saturday of the Month at the McKinley Mall, Center Court, from 10am to 3pm. to process Passort applications, Marraige License applications, and Dog Licenses.

The town clerk's office is frequently considered the center of town government. It is not only the office which is responsible for recording activities of the town government, but it is the central place in which documents and papers vital to the lives of townspeople are filed.
Hamburg Town Clerk's Office is now accepting passport applications! For more information on passports and passport cards, please visit the State Department's website (credit cards not accepted).

The following services are provided by the Town Clerk's Office:
| Hunting and Fishing Licenses |
- Mandatory Hunter Education: A hunter education course is required for persons who cannot provide proof that they have ever possessed a hunting license. The general course is a minimum of 10 hours in length. DEC honors hunter education certificates and sporting licenses from all other states and countries.
- Minors under the age of 12 may not obtain a hunting license or hunt wildlife.
- Back tags must be visibly displayed on the middle of your back while hunting except in the Northern Zone and Catskill Park.

| Birth Certificates |
- The certificate may only be obtained from the city, town or village in which the event took place
- A certified copy or certified transcript of a birth certificate may be issued only:
1.) To the person named on the Birth Certificate if 18 years of age or older.
2.) To the parents of the person named on the Birth certificate.
3.) To a person with a New York State court order.
4.) To the lawful representative of the person named or the parents of the person named on the Birth Certificate.
- Birth certificates are $10.00 per copy
- Before receiving a certificate, a request form must be filled out at the Town Clerk's office and the requesting party must present proof of identity
Send completed form, along with proof of identity and relation to the individual, and a check made out to the Hamburg Town Clerk in the amount of $10.00

| Death Certificates |
- The certificate may be obtained through the city, town or village in which the event took place
- A certified copy or a certified transcript of a Death Certificate may be issued:
1.) To the spouse, parent or child of the deceased.
2.) To the lawful representative of the spouse, parent or child of the deceased.
3.) To a person with a New York State court order issued on a showing of necessity.
*If the request is made by someone other than the spouse, parent or child of the deceased, the application or letter must be accompanied by supporting documents establishing a legal right or claim to obtain a certified copy/transcript, or a judicial or other proper purpose to a obtain a certification.
- Death certificates are $10.00 per copy
- Before receiving a death certificate a request form must be filled out at the Town Clerk's Office and the requesting party must present proof of identity

| Marriage Licenses |
- No blood test required (Law repealed 8/1/85)
- You must obtain your marriage license at least 24 hours before your wedding ceremony
- Your marriage license is good for a period of no longer than 60 days
- Both parties must apply together, in person, for a license
- You must show identification - driver's license plus birth certificate, or passport
- If either party is divorced, certified copies must be presented as proof of such
- The cost of a marriage license is $40.00 (effective 8/1/03) which is a New York State fee
- Anyone applying for a marriage license who is 16 or 17 years of age, needs consent of both parents (form available in Town Clerk's Office) unless one parent has legal custody. In the case of legal custody, that parent must bring in the legal decree proving such
In order to obtain a certified copy of a marriage certificate:
- The certificate may only be obtained through the city or town where the couple APPLIED for the marriage license
- Marriage certificates are $10.00 per copy
- Before receiving a certificate, a request form must be filled out and submitted to the Registrar at the Town Clerk's Office and the requesting party must present proof of identity
Send completed form, along with proof of identity and relation to the individual, and a check made out to the Hamburg Town Clerk in the amount of $10.00

| Genealogy Requests |
- Genealogical search services may be conducted through the Town Clerk's Office for those records filed with the Town of Hamburg
- The fee for providing searches is $22.00 per name, which is a New York State fee

| Dog Licenses |
- Dog licenses can be obtained by mail or in person
- Proof of rabies and neutering or spaying certificate from your veterinarian must be presented (these records will be returned to you with the license)
- The fee is $18.00 for standard or $10.00 if the dog is spayed or neutered (a $3 discount is offered for seniors 65 and older)
- Dog licenses must be renewed yearly
- All dogs must be licensed after 4 months of age
