The Town of Lancaster Parks & Recreation Department’s 2005-2006 Family Swim Program is scheduled to begin on Friday, September 30, 2005 and end on Friday, May 12, 2006. The program will be held at the Lancaster High School pool each Friday from 7:30pm-9:30pm. The cost per family is $20. Families can sign up at the site on September 30 and thereafter.
This is a recreational swim for families. A lane marker is installed for those family members who wish to swim laps. Water basketball, fins, noodles, kickboards and balls are available. For more information you can call the Recreation office at 684-3320.
The Town of Lancaster Parks & Recreation Department will once again offer a Senior Citizen Swim program at Lancaster High School on Saturday afternoons from 12:30pm - 2:30 p.m. The program begins on Saturday, October 1, and will run through May 2006. There is no cost for the program, which is open to all senior citizens age 60 and over who reside in the Town of Lancaster or the Lancaster Central School District.
You must register for this program at the Parks & Recreation office prior to the start of the program. A Senior Citizens Photo ID card is also required at registration, which may be obtained at the Parks & Recreation office.

The Town of Lancaster Parks & Recreation Department is currently accepting registration for the fall session of swim lessons. Lessons for levels I,II, III, IV, V/VI and the Toddler Swim program will be offered on Monday or Thursday evenings at the Lancaster High School pool. The classes will run 45 minutes each and begin the week of September 19 running through mid December. The cost is $5 per child. The lessons are open to all Town of Lancaster residents as well as the Lancaster Central School District residents. Class sizes are limited. The Town of Lancaster Parks & Recreation Department will once again offer Adult Water Aerobics at the William Street School pool on either Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. beginning September 26 and ending May 25, 2006. This program is open to all Town of Lancaster residents as well as residents of the Lancaster School District.
You must register at the Parks & Recreation office prior to the start of the program. A photo ID card is also required at registration which may be obtained at the Parks & Recreation office Mondays & Thursdays 8:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Two items showing proof of residency must be provided to obtain an ID card. Because of limited class sizes, you may only register for one session, Monday & Wednesday or Tuesday & Thursday. Sign up early, classes fill up fast.

The Town of Lancaster Parks & Recreation Department is announcing registration for its Fall/Winter Adult Men’s, Women’s and Co-Ed Volleyball Leagues for the 2005-2006 season. Registration will begin on Thursday, September 29 – Friday, October 7 at the Recreation office located at 525 Pavement Road. All teams from last year will be contacted by mail.
New teams and players interested in playing in this league should call the Recreation office at 684-3320 for further information.
The Town of Lancaster Parks & Recreation Department will offer a Fall/Winter ALL GIRLS BASKETBALL LEAGUE this year. The program will be held on Thursday evenings at the Lancaster Middle School beginning on December 15. The first week will be a clinic and will resume after the holidays on Thursday, January 5, 2006.

The Town of Lancaster Recreation Department will once again offer a wrestling program for all Town of Lancaster residents as well as Lancaster school district residents. The program will begin on Monday, January 30 and run until Thursday, March 23, 2006. It will be held every Monday and Thursday from 6:00pm-9:00pm in the Lancaster High School cafeteria.
Interested boys in kindergarten through 8th grade may register at the Lancaster Recreation office located at 525 Pavement Road from now until Friday, January 27, 2006. A mail in registration can also be arranged by calling the Recreation office at 684-3320 as soon as possible. The cost of the program is $10.
