Main Function of Office:
The Town Attorney is appointed by the Town Board, which also appoints deputies as needed. Duties include giving legal advice on all Town matters, drafting local legislation, preparing bid documents and contracts, handling the claims and lawsuits involving the Town, and representing the Town in its prosecutions in courts.
