County Legislature To Hold Mid-Year Budget Hearings
In light of a number of revelations concerning the County's 2004 deficit and 2005 projected deficit, the Erie County Legislature will convene mid-year budget hearings for the purpose of reviewing the 2004 Adopted Budget, considering any changes that may be required to that budget, and reviewing potential 2005 budget needs.
There will be a brief introductory meeting on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 with hearings held on Friday, July 9th, Tuesday, July 13th and Wednesday, July 14th.
Please find attached the draft schedule of budget hearings. These meeting times are subject to change. Each department will be asked to BRIEFLY present the status of their department's 2004 budget, their targeted revenues, expenditures, turnover savings, anticipated budget needs for the remainder of 2004, and the status of grants and other outside funding/revenue.
