Energy & Environment Committee

The goal of the Energy and Environment Committee is to review and discuss issues, requests and proposals from legislators, the County Executive, and various companies and organizations that deal directly or indirectly with the delivery of services to Erie County and its residents. The departments affected by the committee include the departments of Public Works, Parks, Environmental Protection, and The Erie County Water Authority. In reality the services falling under the umbrella of Energy and Environment are our County's parks systems, delivery of safe drinking water, electrical power, safe and efficient removal of sewage from Erie County homes and hazardous waste.
