Erie County Legislators have again teamed up with the Erie County Soil & Water Conservation District for their Tree and Shrub Seedling Program. Orders are being accepted through March 26, 2004 and pick-up will be April 24, 2004 at the Erie County Fairgrounds.

     Last year the District was successful in distributing 87,000 trees and shrubs. This year the District is offering 36 varieties of trees and shrubs. The one to three year-old bare root seedlings range from 6 to 24 inches tall and are available in lots of 10 to 500. Seedling combination packs and wildflower seed mixes designed to attract wildlife are also available through the program. The district is also offering four year-old transplants in White Pine, Blue Spruce and Douglas Fir.

     Order forms may be picked up at the Legislative District Offices. You can also print the order form from the Erie County Soil & Water Conservation District website at www.ecswcd.org.
