Erie County Legislator Timothy M. Kennedy (D-South Buffalo, Cheektowaga), Chair of the Legislature’s Economic Development Committee, will host a discussion this Thursday, January 12, 2006 on an item seeking Legislative approval of the Niagara Power Project Relicensing Settlement Agreement Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).

Legislator Kennedy has invited Congressman Brian Higgins (NY-27), who championed the effort to obtain a larger settlement for Western New York, to testify before the Committee. Kennedy also sponsored a resolution, which was approved unanimously, supporting negotiations for a fair share for Erie County.
