Orders are being accepted for the Erie County Soil & Water Conservation District’s annual Conservation Tree and Shrub Seedling Program sale. Orders are due March 25, 2005 and pickup will be Saturday April 23, 2005 at the Erie County Fairgrounds in Hamburg.

The 2005 selection has 33 varieties of trees and shrubs chosen for conservation uses and practices. The one to three-year-old bare root seedlings range from 6 to 24 inches tall and are available in lots of 10 to 500. Seedling combination packs and wildflower seed mixes designed to attract wildlife are also available through the program. This year the District is also offering an expanded selection of four-year-old evergreen transplants, which are more mature trees with thicker stems, more branching and more developed roots.
