LEGISLATOR KENNEDY BRINGS DUNKIN' DONUTS EXECUTIVES TO SOUTH BUFFALO
In an attempt to lure Dunkin' Donuts to South Buffalo, Erie County Legislator Tim Kennedy met recently with the business leaders who have already pledged to bring over forty Dunkin' Donuts establishments to Erie County.
Kennedy reached out to and was able to make contact with Steve Galloway, the President & Chief Operating Officer of the company, who joined Kennedy in a tour of South Buffalo along with Chris Cortese, the company's Chief Financial Officer. Bill Greeley, representing Congressman Brian Higgins office, and Kevin Kelley, the clerk of the Erie County Legislature were present for the tour.
The businessmen were led on a morning tour of South Buffalo to demonstrate the tremendous traffic flow that will allow a business such as Dunkin' Donuts to flourish in the city.
"It is extremely important that we continue to focus our efforts on bringing new businesses to the City of Buffalo," Kennedy said, "I am enthused by the response to the tour, and hopeful that we will see a Dunkin' Donuts in South Buffalo in the very near future."
As Chairman of Economic Development in Erie County, Legislator Kennedy went on to say that as the City of Buffalo undergoes its revitalization from the waterfront to the commercial strips and surrounding neighborhoods, attracting new businesses and new jobs remains a top priority and fits into development efforts being advanced by Congressman Higgins and Mayor Byron Brown.
"We are aggressively pursuing new businesses that will help bolster our commercial strips and improve the quality of life in our neighborhoods," Kennedy said, "Dunkin' Donuts would be a great addition to our community and would help advance that agenda."
Legislator Kennedy is in the process of setting up additional visits with the executives to evaluate other areas of his district for potential Dunkin' Donuts locations including Lovejoy, Kaisertown, the Old First Ward, the Valley, Seneca-Babcock, Sloan and South Cheektowaga.
