Erie County Legislature Economic Development Committee Chairman Timothy Kennedy has invited Congressman Brian Higgins to appear before the committee to provide members with an update on the latest activities related to Buffalo’s inner and outer harbor development.

The briefing will include information on:

• Work commencing on the Outer Harbor Greenbelt Shoreline Improvement Project
• Negotiations underway for transfer of waterfront land from the NFTA to the Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp.
• The reformulation of federal transportation funding for use in construction of a parkway along Fuhrmann Boulevard
• Efforts to see Erie County receive its fair share in federal bridge funding distributed by New York State.
