COUNTY LEGISLATOR MILLER-WILLIAMS ANNOUNCES LOCATIONS, TELEPHONE NUMBERS OF HEAP SITES
Erie County Legislator Barbara Miller-Williams (D-Buffalo, 3rd District) is announcing the addresses for residents to apply for the Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP).
The addresses for the HEAP sites are: for people age 60 and older and for disabled clientele under age 60, 291 Pearl Street, First Floor (entrance near the corner of the building), Buffalo, telephone 858-6793. For people under age 60 who are non-disabled clientele, or head of households in receipt of temporary assistance or food stamps (not payee only) clientele, 478 Main Street, Buffalo, telephone 858-7644.
HEAP is a federally funded assistance program designed to help eligible households with the costs of heating their homes. HEAP is administered locally by the Erie County Department of Social and Senior Services. Each season, Senior Services conducts HEAP interviews for all segments of the population at various outreach locations starting in January.
