RANZENHOFER ANNOUNCES CHRISTMAS
TREE-CYCLING AND COMPUTER RECYCLING DROP OFF
Erie County Legislator Michael H. Ranzenhofer (R-Clarence) has announced that the Erie County Department of Environment & Planning and the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Forestry are sponsoring Christmas Tree-Cycling and Computer Recycling Drop off sites throughout the county.
Residents may drop off unwanted electronic equipment and Christmas Trees on Saturday January 10, 2004 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Delaware Park in Buffalo, Como Lake Park in Lancaster, or Chestnut Ridge Park in Orchard Park.
Items accepted are:
- CPUs (Computer Hard-Drive)
- Monitors
- Keyboards
- Printers
- Mice
- Fluorescent Bulbs
- Ballasts
- Cell Phones
- Christmas Trees
"Erie County's Computer Recycling program collects unwanted electronic equipment so that materials can be reused or recycled and hazardous materials are properly disposed," said Legislator Ranzenhofer. "I encourage residents to take part in this event and help keep our community safe."
Ranzenhofer noted that those interested may bring a container to take home mulch from the recycled trees; burlap bags may be purchased for $1.
