RANZENHOFER ANNOUNCES AVAILABILITY OF SENIOR ID DISCOUNT CARDS
Erie County Legislator Michael H. Ranzenhofer (R-Clarence) announced today that the Erie County Department of Senior Services has made available newly-designed Complimentary Discount Cards for seniors throughout Erie County.
"The Complimentary Card, available free, is a great resource for seniors as an identification card, as well as for receiving discounts at various businesses throughout Erie County," said Ranzenhofer. "I am pleased that the Department of Senior Services is once again offering the program, now in its new format."
Ranzenhofer pointed out that Erie County's Senior Complimentary Card program was initially started over 30 years ago as a discount identification card. The card is offered to Erie County residents 65 years of age and older at no charge, and gives seniors the opportunity to receive discounts at local participating merchants, including an NFTA Metro half-price fare.
"Many stores throughout our community participate in the discount card program," added Ranzenhofer. "I am committed to making sure that Erie County's seniors receive the best care possible. The Complimentary Card is a great program that touches the lives of many senior citizens throughout our community."
Any seniors who are interested in an Erie County Complimentary Card may contact Legislator Ranzenhofer's District Office at 631-8695 for information on how to obtain one.
