County Legislator Kathy Konst would like to thank all the individuals who supported the 2006 Erie County Books for Kids Campaign. "We collected a wonderful assortment of Children's Books," said Konst. " The residents of Erie County know how to reach into their heart for good causes we are truly the County of Good Neighbors," concluded Konst.

Since it establishment in 1995, the books for Kids effort has distributed over 1.3 million books to needy children. News Books for Kids this year was sponsored by The Buffalo News, Project Flight and Buffalo State College, Quebecor World Buffalo, Wegmans, Erie 1 Boces, the United Way of Buffalo & Erie County, the Buffalo and Erie County Public Libraries and the Junior League of Buffalo. "It was a great experience working with originations that are committed to our community. This was truly effort that all residents could embrace," stated Konst.
