COUNTY LEGISLATOR TERRANOVA LEADS LEGISLATURE APPROVAL OF GOLF COURSE FEE DISCOUNT
Erie County Legislator Diane M. Terranova (D-Lancaster, Elma) led the County Legislature in unanimously approving a change and reduction in the golf course fee structure at the Erie County Legislature's September 24 session.
This action will establish a rate of $20 as of October 1 for each course for people to golf with use of a cart and the greens fee included. It is hoped that this fee reduction will make Erie County's golf courses competitive at the end of the golfing season, as well as increase attendance and revenue.
"I am pleased to announce this discount to golfers on our Erie County golf courses. This is a thank you to the energetic men and women who enjoy and support our county golf courses. At the same time, I hope this special fall discount will bring in added revenue to Erie County," Legislator Terranova said. "As legislators, we are always concerned with the opportunities available to the citizens of Erie County as well as our responsibility to be fiscally prudent."
Legislator Terranova noted that one of the county's two golf courses, Elma Meadows, is located in the 5th District, which she represents. The second county golf course, Grover Cleveland, is located in Amherst.
