LEGISLATOR WHYTE ANNOUNCES COMPUTER, ELECTRONICS
RECYCLING DAY TO BE HELD AT CENTRAL PARK PLAZA APRIL 26
Erie County Legislature Majority Leader Maria R. Whyte (D-Buffalo) is announcing that a recycling day sponsored by the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning and the City of Buffalo will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Central Park Plaza off East Amherst Street and Holden Street, between Main Street and Bailey Avenue, in Buffalo.
The items that can be brought in for recycling include computers, CRTs or monitors, keyboards and mice, printers and scanners, fluorescent bulbs, cell phones, rechargeable batteries, VCRs, DVD players and televisions. Participants will be required to verify that materials are generated by households.
The recycling event will also be sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Great Lakes Program, and Keep Western New York Beautiful. For more information, call Legislator Whyte's office at 874-3257, the county at 858-6996, contact recycle@erie.gov or visit www.erie.gov.
