COUNTY LEGISLATOR MAZUR ANNOUNCES SENIOR 'CONNECTS' PROGRAM AT CAYUGA VILLAGE CENTER JULY 1

Erie County Legislator Thomas J. Mazur (D-Cheektowaga, Depew) is announcing that the Erie County Department of Senior Services will hold a CONNECTS Program from 9 a.m.-noon Wednesday, July 1, at the Cayuga Village Senior Center, 100 Hutchens Drive in Cheektowaga.

The Erie County Senior "Connects" Program visits neighborhood locations, connecting residents age 60 and older and/or their caregivers with information and services available. A Senior Services representative will offer information about various assistance programs, nutrition programs, health insurance questions, care giving issues and Erie County Senior Services will issue their photo identification cards. This complimentary card is for seniors age 65 and older, and entitles them to reduce Metro bus/rail fares and other vendor discounts. There will also be a case manager from Erie County Senior Services and representatives from EPIC, Diabetes Educator, Meals on Wheels, Support Services, Upstate NY Transplant Service, WNY Osteoporosis and the Wise & Wellness Program present.
