COUNTY LEGISLATOR WROBLEWSKI ANNOUNCES NOMINATION OF JAMES EAGAN TO NFTA BOARD
Erie County Legislator Timothy M. Wroblewski (D-West Seneca, South Cheektowaga) was recently joined by the Erie County Legislature in overwhelmingly approving the nomination of James J. Eagan of West Seneca as the new member of the Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority Board of Directors.
Eagan, the vice president of Midwood Financial Services, was nominated as the County Legislature's unpaid appointment to the NFTA Board of Directors, and the appointment must be approved by New York Gov. David Paterson.
"I am pleased that Mr. Eagan has been nominated as the County Legislature's appointment to the NFTA board, where he can bring his experience from the financial areas of the private sector to seek efficiencies in the authority's operations," Legislator Wroblewski said. "I am also pleased that the residents of West Seneca and South Cheektowaga in the 9th District will have their needs addressed and concerns represented with Mr. Eagan serving on the NFTA board."
The NFTA board position Eagan was nominated for is for a term ending June 30, 2011.
