COUNTY LEGISLATOR WROBLEWSKI ANNOUNCES HEAP APPLICATIONS, INFORMATION AVAILABLE

Erie County Legislator Timothy M. Wroblewski (D-West Seneca, South Cheektowaga) announces that information and applications for the county Heating Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) are available.

"All people, particularly those on fixed incomes, know that with winter on its way, home heating costs will increase. The cost of home heating fuels and natural gas should not be a reason for our senior citizens, retired workers, children and other people not sufficiently heating their homes," Legislator Wroblewski said. "I urge people to contact my office to allow us to send you the proper applications and information so you can stay warm this winter season."

The 2008-2009 HEAP monthly income eligibility guidelines are, by household size: one, $1,963; two, $2,567; three, $3,172; four, $3,776; five, $4,380; six, $4,984; seven, $5,097; eight, $5,210.

For more information, people should call Legislator Wroblewski's office at 675-8817, the Erie County Department of Senior Services at 858-8526 or the HEAP Hotline at 858-7870. The county HEAP offices, located at 478 Main Street and at 291 Pearl Street, are open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays.
