LEGISLATOR IANNELLO RE-APPOINTED TO NYSAC PUBLIC SAFETY COMMITTEE
Kenmore, NY - Legislator Michele M. Iannello (D-Kenmore) recently received the news that she has been re-appointed to the New York Association of Counties (NYSAC) Public Safety standing committee.
NYSAC's mission is to represent, educate and advocate for Member Counties along with the thousands of elected and appointed county officials who serve the public.
The Public Safety committee plays an important role in shaping policies and positions on legislative issues throughout the state.
Legislator Iannello stated. "I am honored to share my experience from the Public Safety Committee here in Erie County with the NYSAC standing committee. Through this role, I will be able to continue advocating for cost saving policies and help influence better public safety planning initiatives; not only in Erie County but throughout New York State."
It has also been announced that Legislator Iannello will be the first Erie County Legislator to receive a Certificate of Achievement from the Pelletier Institute and Cornell University. The Certificate of Achievement will be awarded at the annual Legislative Conference during a plenary session in front of her peers in county government. She will be traveling to the conference being held in Albany at the Desmond Hotel, February 9 - 11, 2009.
