Michele M. Iannello - District 10 April 5, 2006 LEGISLATOR IANNELLO ANNOUNCES PART D PRESCRIPTION PLAN ENROLLMENT FAIR TO BE HELD IN TONAWANDA APRIL 19 Erie County Legislator Michele M. Iannello (D-Kenmore, Tonawanda) announces that a free Part D Prescription Plan enrollment fair will be held by the Erie County Department of Senior Services from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, at the Town of Tonawanda Senior Center, 291 Ensminger Road, Tonawanda. The enrollment fair, which the Department of Senior Services is hosing in conjunction with New York State EPIC and Social Security, will bring "free objective information" and help with one-stop shopping for affordable prescription drugs. The Health Insurance Information Counseling Program staff and volunteers can answer personal questions, help people search for the best plans and even help people enroll in a Part D plan of their choosing. Representatives from EPIC, Social Security and the local Medicare Advantage plans may also be in attendance to answer questions. After May 15, 2006, if a person is eligible but has not chosen a Medicare Part D Plan, he or she may face penalties unless their coverage is creditable. Free Part D Prescription Plan enrollment fairs will be held: 9 a.m.-noon Monday, April 10, Evans Senior Center, 999 Sturgeon Point Road, Derby; 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, Salvation Army, 960 Main Street, Buffalo; 1:15-3:15p.m. Friday, April 21, at the Clarence Senior Center, 4600 Thompson Road; 1:30-4 p.m. Saturday, April 22, in the Bertrand Chaffee Hospital cafeteria.
