Legislator Hardwick to host Erie County
Senior Services ‘Connects’ program
Legislator Kevin Hardwick, R-Tonawanda, will host an Erie County Senior Services “Connects” Program presentation to inform area senior citizens about services available to them.
A representative from the County’s Senior Services Department will discuss what the “Connects” Program offers residents. The program will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the Tonawanda Senior Center, 33 Main St., City of Tonawanda.
At the “Connects” Program, seniors can learn about the services available to them through the County, including, information about home energy assistance, nutrition, health insurance and care-giving issues.
Photo identification cards will be issued to eligible seniors; anyone 65 and older. The card entitles residents to
reduced Metro bus and rail fares, as well as other vendor discounts.
“This program is a great tool for seniors to use when they need information about various services. The County offers a lot of programs that benefit our older population and the specifics are explained in great detail during the ‘Connects’ program presentation,” Legislator Hardwick said. “Myself and the representative from Senior Services will also be available to answer any questions about services.”
