COUNTY LEGISLATURE CHAIR MARINELLI ANNOUNCES SENIOR SERVICES PROGRAM SET AT KENILWORTH APRIL 29

Erie County Legislature Chair Lynn M. Marinelli (D-Buffalo, Tonawanda) announces that an Erie County Department of Senior Services Connects Program will hold an outreach from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at the Kenilworth Fire Hall, 54 Hawthorne Avenue in Tonawanda.

The program connects residents age 60 and older and/or their caregivers with the information and services available. A Senior Services representative will offer information about various assistance programs, nutrition program, health insurance questions, care giving issues, and at every Connects location, Senior Services' officials issue photo identification cards. This complimentary card is for people age 65 and older and entitles them to reduced Metro bus/rail fares and other vendor discounts.

Some locations may also include other partners such as Catholic Health System, Consumer Fraud, WNY Osteoporosis, American Diabetes, National Fuel's Consumer Services or others. Senior citizens or their caregivers with questions should call Heidi Monin with the Erie County Department of Senior Services at 858-2022.
