LEGISLATURE CHAIR MARINELLI APPOINTS LEGISLATOR KONST AS OPEN MEETINGS ADVISOR

Erie County Legislature Chair Lynn M. Marinelli (D-Buffalo, Tonawanda) has appointed County Legislator Kathy Konst (D-Lancaster, Elma) as the open meetings advisor of the County Legislature.

"This is a continuation of the Legislature reforming its operations through the charter revisions adopted in 2006 and conducting its business in an open manner," Legislator Marinelli said. "I appointed Legislator Konst to this important position pursuant to the power vested in the Chair of the Erie County Legislature by Section 1.01 (7) of the Erie County Legislature's 2007 Rules of Order and Section 202.4 of Article 2 of the Erie County Charter."

"This is an important position towards my reform agenda, and I plan to work as hard as possible to honor this objective," Legislator Konst said. "I consider myself a stickler when it comes to open meetings and operating under the law."
