COMPUTER/ELECTRONICS COLLECTION EVENT SEPTEMBER 18
Erie County Legislature Majority Leader Lynn M. Marinelli (D-Buffalo, Tonawanda) announces that the next County Electronics Collection Event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, September 18, at Praxair on Woodward Avenue in the Town of Tonawanda. Woodward Avenue is the first traffic light south of the intersection of Military Road and Sheridan Drive.
No appointment is necessary and services are provided to all Erie County residents on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no charge for this service although there is a limit of two computer systems and two televisions per household. Acceptable items for drop off include CPUs (hard drive), CRTs or monitors, keyboards, mouse, printers, fluorescent bulbs, ballasts, appliances, televisions and cellular telephones.
Erie County's Computer Recycling program reuses and recycles computer and electronic components, such as metal and plastic, and assures that hazardous materials found in electronic equipment are properly handled and disposed.
