Discover the Heights on Saturday Nights

Legislator Lynn Marinelli (D, Buffalo/Tonawanda) announces the availability of a map and guide of University Heights in North Buffalo. The colorful, informative publication is available in her neighborhood office (832-0493) located at 1701 Hertel Avenue near Starin. It is also available at the University of Buffalo and 75 other organizations. Seth Triggs of the University of Buffalo's Geography Department drew the map. The map was funded collaboratively and sponsored by UB, NFTA- Metro, WBFO 88.7 and the University Heights Business Association.

The map includes locations of retail stores, restaurants, salons, schools, churches, community groups, housing, health and miscellaneous services. Many of these sites are taking part in "Discover the Heights on Saturday Nights" and offer discounts and early bird specials from 4-6 pm, and 10pm until midnight through November. Tucker Curtin, president of the University Heights Business Association and its members are urging residents and visitors to support this vibrant part of Buffalo. For more information, please contact Tucker Curtin at 983-3515.

"Economic Development, particularly on our main street areas, is important to citizens. I am proud to promote public-private partnerships in marketing our area," said Legislator Marinelli.
