COUNTY LEGISLATURE CHAIR LYNN M. MARINELLI ANNOUNCES 2009 REGULAR SESSION SCHEDULE

Erie County Legislature Chair Lynn M. Marinelli (D-Buffalo, Tonawanda) is announcing the County Legislature’s 2009 regular session schedule.

The County Legislature generally meets twice a month on Thursdays at 2 p.m., with committees scheduled between meeting weeks. Meetings of Legislative task forces and commissions are announced by their respective chairs.

The regular session dates scheduled are: January 8 and 29, February 5 and 19, March 12 and 26, April 16 and 30, May 14 and 28, June 11 and 25, July 9 and 30, September 10 and 24, October 8 and 22, November 5 and 19, and December 3 and 17. A budget approval session is scheduled Tuesday, December 1, while a budget veto override session is tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, December 8. The County Legislature is scheduled to be in recess for August. Special sessions and public hearings may be called, and meetings may be rescheduled, at the discretion of the chair.
