LEGISLATOR REYNOLDS ANNOUNCES FREE RABIES CLINIC
Erie County Legislator Robert B. Reynolds (D-12) announced today a free rabies clinic in the Town of Brant.
"On Wednesday, May 27, 2009, The Erie County Department of Health is conducting a free rabies clinic in association with The Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society and the Erie County SPCA at the Brant Fire Company located at 1231 Brant-Farnham Road in Brant," Reynolds stated. "The clinic will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and I encourage all pet owners of District 12 to please bring your pets to get vaccinated."
Information that pet owners need to know:
- Pets must be at least three months of age to receive a rabies vaccination.
- Proof of previous rabies vaccination must be provided to receive a three-year certificate; otherwise a one-year certificate will be issued.
- All dogs, cats, and ferrets must be restrained using a leash and/or pet carrier.
- No person shall be allowed to have more than three pets in line at one time.
