REYNOLDS ANNOUNCES FREE RABIES CLINIC
Erie County Legislator Robert B. Reynolds (D-12) announced today a free rabies clinic in the Town of Hamburg.
"On Wednesday, September 5, 2007, The Erie County Department of Health is conducting a free rabies clinic in association with The Niagara Frontier Veterinary Society and the Erie County SPCA at Lakeview Fire Company located at 2005 Lakeview Road in Lake View," Reynolds stated. "The clinic will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and I encourage all pet owners of District 12 to please bring your pets to get vaccinated."
Information that pet owners need to know:
- Pets must be at least three months of age to receive a rabies vaccination.
- Proof of previous rabies vaccination must be provided to receive a three-year certificate; otherwise a one-year certificate will be issued.
- All dogs, cats, and ferrets must be restrained using a leash and/or pet carrier.
- No person shall be allowed to have more than three pets in line at one time.
