Mills Named Minority Leader
(Buffalo-NY) Erie County Legislator and new Minority Leader John J. Mills will be speaking to interested members of the press and public on Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in the Georgian Room of the Statler Towers to formally introduce himself, and his agenda, as the Legislature's new Minority Leader.
In his address, Legislator Mills will clearly outline seven priorities of the Republican Party in 2007. Among other topics, Mills is expected to discuss job vacancies, the budget process, tourism, the parks agreement, road projects, cost savings initiatives as well as some bold new ideas.
John Mills stated that "In the last few weeks I have met extensively with my constituents, my staff, and fellow caucus members to discuss a variety of issues..." he continued, "issues that are important to us and ones that require a resolution that will leave a positive impact on the taxpayers and residents of Erie County for years to come."
Legislator Mills is expected to deliver specific remarks on the issues he is referring to, and then entertain an unlimited period of question and answer.
