NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TOWN OF NEWSTEAD,NEW YORK

            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that the Town Board feels that it is essential to solicit opinions and input from the residents of the Town ofNewsteadwith regards to the planned use of Erie County Community Development Block Grants in our community,

            THEREFORE, pursuant to the Town Law and General Municipal Law Rules, the Town Board of the Town of Newstead shall hold a Public Meeting on the aforesaid Community Development Block Grants at the Newstead Town Hall, 5 Clarence Center Rd, Akron, New York at 7:55 p.m. on the 10th day of October, 2011, at which time persons interested may be heard.  The meeting room is wheel chair accessible.  Those needing special arrangements should call the Town Hall at 542-4573 by October 5, 2011.

Public Hearing Notice

            Notice is hereby given that the Tentative Budget of the Town of Newstead for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2012 has been completed and filed in the Office of the Town Clerk at the Newstead Town Hall, 5 Clarence Center Rd, Akron, New York where it is available for inspection by any interested persons between the hours of
8:00 am and 4:30 pm.

            Further notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Newstead will meet and review said Tentative Budget and hold a Public Hearing thereon, at the Newstead Town Hall, 5 Clarence Center Rd, Akron, NY at 7:45 pm on the 24th day of October, 2011 and that at such hearing any person may be heard in favor of or against the Preliminary Budget as compiled, or for or against any item or items therein contained.

            The meeting room is handicapped accessible.  Those needing special arrangements should call the Town Clerk at 542-4573 no later than October 20, 2011.

LEGAL  NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a Public Hearing by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Newstead will be held at the Newstead Town Hall, 5 Clarence Center Road, Akron, New York at 7:30PM on Thursday, September 22, 2011 to consider the following:

Use variance request from the Akron Airport/Christian Airmen, Inc. to authorize the use as an airport, which has been a continuous use at the John St. location.

IN ADDITION TO a continuation of the Public Hearing by the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Newstead to also consider the following:

Use variance request to expand the Akron Airport which is a non-conforming use in the RA zone, as follows:

  1.      Construction of runway 11 – 29 & partial parallel taxiway
  2.      Construct T-Hangar & Maintenance Hangar

According to Newstead Town Code, section 450-43 Enlargement – no nonconforming uses shall be enlarged or increased nor extended to occupy a greater area of land than was occupied at the effective date of the adoption of these regulations.

LEGAL  NOTICE

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing of the Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Newstead will be held at the Newstead Town Hall, 5 Clarence Center Road in the Village of Akron, New York at 7:15PM on Thursday, September 22, 2011 to consider the following:

            Area variance request of 13 feet, reducing the required minimum road frontage at 6794 Cedar St., owned by James & Doreen Park, from 150 feet to 137 feet when subdividing and creating a second parcel with 150 feet of frontage.  Code states the minimum frontage in the Town of Newstead RA district must be 150 feet.

            The hearing is open to the public.  Interested individuals may submit written comments in advance of the public hearing.  The meeting room is handicapped accessible.  Those needing special arrangements should contact Julie Brady, Zoning Board of Appeals Clerk, at 542-4574 one week prior to the meeting.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TOWN OF NEWSTEAD, NEW YORK

            PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a public hearing of the Town Board will be held at Newstead Town Hall, 5 Clarence Center Road in the Village of Akron, New York at 7:50PM on the 26th day of September, 2011 to consider the following: 

Site plan approval request to construct a 3,750 sq. ft. building comprising twenty five 10’ x 15’ storage units on a 9.26-acre parcel of land at 11111 Main Road in the C-2 and overlay zones located behind Uncle Sam’s Antiques and owned by Kelly Schultz in the Town of Newstead.

The site plan is on file in the Building Department of the Town of Newstead and is open for inspection to any interested person during business hours.

            The hearing is open to the public.  Interested individuals are invited to attend and may submit written comments in advance of the public hearing.  The meeting room is wheelchair accessible.  Those needing special arrangements should call the Town Clerk at 542-4573 by September 21, 2011.
