ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF FIREWORKS- TOWN OF GRAND ISLAND
June 15, 2009- Town of Grand Island- 9:42 PM- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports the arrest of a Grand Island resident for illegally possessing fireworks.
Deputy Kristin Rozycki and Brad Girdler responded to a report of illegal fireworks on Carter Dr. in the Town of Grand Island. Jerry Calvaneso, age 49, of Carter Dr., Grand Island, was found to be possession of in excess of $500.00 worth of fireworks that he intended to sell. Calvaneso was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor count of Unlawful Dealing with Fireworks.
Calvaneso was released and an appearance ticket and will appear in Grand Island Court at a later date.
