June 16, 2009- Akron Falls- 7:34 PM- Erie County Sheriff Tim Howard reports that the Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of an Akron girl who collapsed while playing soccer in Akron Falls Park.

Emily Adamczak, age 14, was playing at the Akron Falls Park Sports Complex, when she collapsed to the ground in cardiac arrest. She was treated at the scene by members of the Akron fire Department, who transported her to Millard Suburban Hospital, where she died a short time later.

An autopsy was conducted this morning at the Medical Examiners' Office. The cause of death has not been determined pending the results of toxicology testing, however it was noted that the young girl suffered from a coronary artery anomaly, which most likely lead to her heath.
