CORFU MAN ARRESTED FOR DWI IN TOWN OF ALDEN

July 4, 2009- Town of Alden- 1:31 AM- Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard reports arrest of a Corfu resident for felony Driving While Intoxicated.

Deputy Gene Nati stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction on Sandridge Rd. in the Town of Alden. The driver, Jeffery Connolly, age 27, of Richley Rd, Corfu failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested for DWI. Connolly did submit to a chemical test to determine his blood alcohol concentration. The test result was .14% BAC.

Connolly did have a pervious conviction for DWI in 2002 causing this arrest to be a felony charge. He was taken to the Erie County Holding Center pending arraignment in Alden Court at a later date.

Deputy Emily Nelson and James Flowers assisted with the arrest.
